A rainy day

 it´s rainy and thunder. And I love it

Spending the day with constructing a new waggon for the hey, and have to change cloths a cupple of times

A walk in the forrest

Took a walk in the forrest this evening, looking for these flowers. Googles translation is "Ladys slippers". We call it "cuckoo shoe"

Our new ram

Our new ram, Ullrik,(means rich of wool) delivered today. Beatiful with his rounded horn.Wonder if the eves like him too. We will se in the autumn.

a part of my job

I usually work with the signaling systems on the railroad. But when there will be accidents I get in to another roll. Then I will be the "commander" of the scene of accident.

On friday evening there will be a small derailment and I was there doing my job. Luckely I have a good staff to my help so it didnt take long time to get the waggon back on the track.

 It´s a good job until pepole is involved in the accident.

Our garden

 Marit and me like gardening. She more flowers and me more bushes and trees. We are planning to change most of our garden, and have just started the work. Guess it will take some years untill we are finnished (if we ever will be)


Our newest guest in our garden is a maple. It might be to cold and long winter here but it´s wort a test. The flowers is a dill peony. Not so usual here, so we often give our friends a part of it (else it will in invade the lawn..)

Marit loves to plant in different things. This shoe she bought in a second hand store. Perfect flower pot. Guess we will see more of that in the future.

Farming in the old days

Back in the old days farmers took ther animals out in the forrest every summer. The bait in the village would not be enugth for them.

The farmer buildt a small cottage and a barn in the forrest, 10-30 km from the village, and a farming maid lived ther from june untill october taking care of the animals, milking cows, sheeps and goats.She made cheese, butter and whey cheese. There could be several cottages in the neighborhood, just like a small village.

About once a week some of the farmers went up to the place to fetch the products.

In these days almost every one of the places are abandoned. Just a few still got some animal visitors in the summer.

Garden work

After several days with rain, the sun come back.

So we dicided to get some gardenwork done.

This year it will be new strawberrys, carrots,parsley,squash and dill.

By the house we got tomatoes and some herbs.

We have also blackberrys, american blueberrys,raspberrys and some gooseberrys down here. Hope to get a greenhouse in a year or two

Visitor in our garden

One of our neighbors cows visit our garden. Not the first time. He is worthless to build a fence and his cows and horses walks around our part of the village all the time. Tried to talk to him about the problem with no result.

Think I will call the police or animal welfare next time (or put the poor animal in our freezer)

This cow went into our garden and walked around the potatoes,oats and black currant bushes
