This is The End

This is the end of a lot of things.
A forest..
A part of a life...
The kids..
(I have understand they have grown up to human beeings)

And here starts;
A new forest
A new part of my life
Youngsters with more or less crazy ideas
Whish they not listen to all my wisdom,
if they do there will be no more discoveries

And so it´s over

On christmas eve we got a family lunch. 16 pepole of Marits family was here.
Youngest was Lucas (Marits sisters grandson).
There is no Christmas without children. Santa Claus viseted us and he got a lot of gifts from all of us

 After the lunch we rested...

Today I took the opporturnity to get some pictures of an old railroad viaduct buildt in 1880´s and still going strong.
It was buildt for horsewaggons and there is not so many cars witch can drive through it these days.

All my trees are gone

Decided to sell all my trees this autumn. It´s not so much about 2 hectare, but I hope it will give me enugth money to buy a geothermal plant for our house. (and maybe another tractor if I am lucky)
But I do feel a bit sad about it. I always loved to stand there and enjoy the smell and the sound, thinking: This is my own forest.

It took them just a cupple of days to cut everything. It would  take me some years with my chainsaw to do the same job.

And it will take more than 100 years until there is a forest again.
Mayby I will decide to live so long so I can smell and listening one more time

Once upon a time this was a Volvo V 70. In this car Marits son Eric was the driver.
He skidded in to the front of a truck. Today, a month after the accident, he just left the bed in  hospital . He will probobly be all right, but it will be a long rehabilitation. He is not allowed to use his left leg in three months.
Lycky boy, still alive

Long time ago

Have just read an old document telling about the year of 1867-1868.
There was some really bad years in this area. The grain was frozen, the ice on the lakes was still there until june, and the pepole starve.

Audience of pasture

This big fox was todays audience of the pasture. He (or she) have been around here fore a while, and I know what he is thinking. I am not shure if I will let him live or not. Guess he will be a problem when the lambs are coming in february. But he is really beutiful to look at, so probobly I will give him a chance.
These will be best friends even if a lot of pepole says that dogs and cats dont like each other.
Roy is the dog, than Melker and Bamse (he is almost 17 years old)
A few weekas ago Marit and her mother made sussages of lamb and moose. Looking forward to taste it.

And so I went to a sheep sharing education. The fellow to the left was our teacher. Took him about 90 seconds to share a sheep. I use to do it in 20 minutes. Will see in the spring if I learned something
